Gaël Lafont is not just any young player. Born in Aix-en-Provence, he embodies the "pure Marseille product." His name will forever be etched in the club's recent history as the captain who lifted the Gambardella Cup in 2024, a trophy awaited for 45 years. It is no coincidence that he is part of the elite development program set up by the club, just like Nadir.
This left-footed central midfielder, under contract until 2026, is praised for his game intelligence and the quality of his left foot. "Good passing ability and intelligent movement," his teammate Sofiane Sidi Ali said of him. He has already experienced the thrill of Europe by making his professional debut against Benfica in April 2024, proof of the high regard in which the staff holds him.
