Ben first arrived in Marseille on a whim and a cheap night-train, notebook in hand, and never managed to leave.
A self-taught illustrator, he earned a cult following sketching panoramic tribune scenes for dockside cafés, then spinning those drawings into match-day breakdowns that read like graphic poems.
Today his “Taktik Stammtisch” column fuses chalkboard arrows, street-corner slang and sly humour only a Berliner lost in the Vieux-Port could deliver.
On non-match evenings he pedals the Corniche hunting sea-light for tomorrow’s storyboard.
