Marseille transfer news: AC Milan step up pursuit of Rabiot, Atlético waiting in the wings

Adrien Rabiot, placed on the transfer list after his violent altercation with Jonathan Rowe, is going through uncertain days on La Canebière. While his contract runs until 2026, the 30-year-old Frenchman finds himself in turmoil, torn between a possible departure and the prospect of a reconciliation sought by Roberto De Zerbi.

Milan shifts into high gear

In the last few hours, AC Milan have decided to accelerate. According to Matteo Moretto and several Italian sources, the Rossoneri have intensified talks to assess the feasibility of the deal. Massimiliano Allegri, the new Milan coach and a long-time admirer of Rabiot since their time together at Juventus, is pushing hard to bring him in. Milan have already strengthened their midfield with Modric, Ricci and Jashari, but the idea would be to add another piece of experience and character.

Atlético are watching, but waiting to make a move

De Zerbi himself has reached out publicly, speaking of “intelligence” and “reconciliation,” but the hierarchy, with Longoria and Benatia, doesn’t seem fully aligned.
