OM internationals: full schedule for the September break
From Argentina to Morocco, and through the French U20, OM will be represented everywhere during the international break. Here’s the complete calendar of the Olympians.
A cosmopolitan squad on all fronts
The September international break confirms the diversity of Marseille’s squad. Senior figures such as Benjamin Pavard, Nayef Aguerd and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg will be involved in decisive qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, while the next generation — Arthur Vermeeren with Belgium U21, Darryl Bakola and Keyliane Abdallah with the France youth side — continue their development at the highest level.
Aubameyang rested, others in heavy demand
The Gabon captain did not play against Seychelles to protect his left knee, injured against Lyon. By contrast, Leonardo Balerdi and Gerónimo Rulli with Argentina, Amine Gouiri with Algeria, and Amir Murillo with Panama will be heavily involved. De Zerbi will also keep a close eye on Timothy Weah with the United States and on the progress of Igor Paixão, expected back from injury after the break.
High stakes, but risks too
For OM, these call-ups are a double-edged sword: pride in seeing their players represent their countries, but also the fear of injuries or travel-related fatigue. The fixtures awaiting the club after the break — notably the trip to the Bernabéu and then the showdown against PSG — have the Marseille staff crossing their fingers for everyone to return with no bad news.
