OM Transfer News: Agreement with Edon Zhegrova, a winger ready to set the Vélodrome on fire!
Zhegrova has said yes to OM! A contract agreement until 2030 is in place. Now it’s up to Lille, but De Zerbi is pushing hard to bring him in.
Friends, this looks like a major attacking coup! As the transfer window goes into overdrive in its final days, OM have taken a big step forward in the Edon Zhegrova deal. According to Foot Mercato, an almost complete agreement on personal terms has been reached: the LOSC winger is expected to sign with the Olympians until 2030. The deal isn’t fully wrapped up yet—they still have to convince Lille—but the player is already dreaming of the Vélodrome.
A creative fit for De Zerbi
At 26, Zhegrova already has 80 Ligue 1 games, 15 goals and 12 assists. Explosive, unpredictable, a dribbler… exactly the kind of winger we were missing to turbocharge our attack. And despite a rough 2025 (surgery, frozen out of the first-team squad), he’s back with renewed motivation and a point to prove. With his new Albanian passport, he no longer counts as a non-EU player: perfect for our squad!
OM remain in the driver’s seat
LOSC are asking €15m + €5m in bonuses to let their player go. A significant fee, but not insurmountable for someone who can swing a game. Pablo Longoria and Mehdi Benatia are still negotiating, while Roberto De Zerbi is adamant: he wants Zhegrova to round out his already well-stocked attacking arsenal. After Douglas Luiz, Zirkzee and Rabiot, it would be another marquee signing for OM’s 2025–26 project.
The Vélodrome awaits
Talks will speed up before the window closes, and if all goes to plan, Zhegrova could be the next star to set foot on the Vélodrome turf. With his silky dribbling and attacking flair, he’s got everything to electrify our crowd.
So, Team OM, are you signing off on this move? Can Zhegrova nail down a starting spot and become the game-breaker we’ve been missing? We’re waiting for your takes in the comments—let’s get the debate going!
