4,000 Marseille fans on Madrid soil

According to Bruno Blanzat (Ici Marseille), nearly 4,000 Marseille supporters are expected at the Bernabéu. A massive contingent, made possible by tickets allocated by UEFA, but also by the spontaneous organization of fans ready to travel under their own steam. Enough to turn part of the Madrid stadium into a mini-Vélodrome for one European night.

A group of death, but no inferiority complex

The challenge is immense: in addition to Real Madrid, multiple European champions, OM will have to face Liverpool, Ajax Amsterdam, Atalanta Bergamo, Newcastle United, Sporting CP, Union Saint-Gilloise, and Club Brugge. A formidable group that also promises a taste of big European nights and maximum visibility for the Olympians.

A breathtaking European schedule

  • 16 September: Real Madrid – OM (ESP)
  • 30 September: OM – Ajax (NED)
  • 22 October: Sporting – OM (POR)
  • 5 November: OM – Atalanta (ITA)
  • 25 November: OM – Newcastle (ENG)
  • 9 December: Union Saint-Gilloise – OM (BEL)
  • 21 January: OM – Liverpool (ENG)
  • 28 January: OM – Club Brugge (BEL)

All matches will kick off at 9 p.m., guaranteeing maximum exposure for OM.

Between the Bernabéu and Le Classique, a decisive month

This Madrid showdown won’t be an end in itself. Five days later, OM will host PSG for a Le Classique that’s already decisive. September will therefore be a red-hot month, but one thing is certain: Marseille supporters will be out in force, ready to make themselves heard and write a new chapter in OM’s history.
