What is the status of OM with the Bennacer file?

OM reopens the Bennacer file! Despite doubts and an XXL salary, the Algerian midfielder remains in their sights. Risky deal or truly good idea?

We thought the matter was settled after his mixed loan last season, but the story between Bennacer and Marseille is clearly not completely over. According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, our club has come back to the fore, but this time, it's out of the question to pay the 12 million (+3 in bonuses) demanded by Milan a few months ago. OM is negotiating hard to lower the price. But is this really the deal of the summer?

A player that divides: real gamble or unnecessary return?

Let's be honest, Bennacer left a mixed impression on us. Technically, he has skill, he already knows the club and Ligue 1, and he wouldn't take months to adapt. But remember his stint: inconsistent, not really decisive, often injured... Are we not taking a risk by playing the same card again? After all, we're looking for fresh blood to meet De Zerbi's requirements, so why go back? Tell us what you think in the comments!

The crux of the matter: the price and salary

If Longari is right, Milan is ready to let Bennacer go for less. Good news for our finances, but there's a hitch: the player's salary, which exceeds 400,000 euros per month! Ouch, that's steep, friends. We know OM has to be careful with its payroll, and that's the sticking point. The club is discussing trying to find a compromise. But would Bennacer really agree to lower his demands when Saudi Arabia is also courting him? That's the real suspense of this transfer window!

Bennacer, the right piece for De Zerbi's puzzle?

With Roberto De Zerbi looking to rebuild a solid group, one might wonder if Bennacer would be the right profile to fit into this new dynamic. The advantage is that he already knows the team, the city, and the unique atmosphere of the Vélodrome. But, honestly, shouldn't we aim higher or try another gamble? The debate is open: Bennacer, an easy solution or a clever move? We want your opinions, friends!

So, what do we do?

In summary, OM is keeping an eye on Bennacer without making it a priority. It will all depend on negotiations with Milan and the famous salary. The case could be resolved in the coming weeks, or it could fall through if conditions aren't met. And you, do you approve of Bennacer's return to Marseille? Or do you prefer that we turn the page for good? Share your arguments in the comments, and we'll discuss it together!
